Getting started…

Why would you start an education blog?  Seems like more work than it would be worth, but I’m committed to posting almost everyday for one year.  I’ll assess the effectiveness of this blog then…

So, then, why?  Because I really feel the need to increase and multiply my ability to communicate with Friends University stakeholders.  Primarily, this blog will house relevant educational technology centered info for Friends University faculty and administration.  Tips, notices, and info regarding Blackboard will be posted here.  I also intend to post new technologies that can be used effectively in higher education here.  Perhaps some examples of technology being used in higher education from our own faculty and from around the world.  Overall, I want this space to be an up-to-date resource for technology use in higher education.

This is a personal blog, but geared around ed tech at Friends.  So, it will be casual in tone and stature.  I’m not worried about writing academically; I want to communicate ideas.  As such, anything I say here is my own, not the University’s.  I’m leaving the comment feature on, so let the fun begin!
